The Wing Chun Academy proudly announced the successful completion of its belt grading test held on April 15, 2025, in Mumbai. The event was conducted by Sifu Dr. Sonu Kumar Giri, a distinguished martial arts master known for his profound expertise and contributions to the spread of Wing Chun in India.
This important milestone saw the participation of dedicated students who have trained rigorously over the past months. Among the participants were Tanshi, Dhyana, Jainam, Mugdha, and Digvi Virani, along with several other committed students, all of whom showcased their growth, technical proficiency, and deepening understanding of the Wing Chun system.
The test covered a range of Wing Chun fundamentals, including forms (such as Siu Nim Tao), footwork, reflex drills, self-defense applications, and sparring. Each student was assessed based on precision, control, discipline, and their ability to apply techniques in real-time scenarios. The atmosphere during the event was a mix of focus, excitement, and pride as students performed in front of their peers, instructors, and supportive family members.
Sifu Dr. Sonu Kumar Giri commended all the students for their dedication and spirit, saying, “This grading is not just a test of physical ability, but a reflection of each student’s journey and perseverance. I’m proud of their commitment and the respect they show for the art of Wing Chun.”
The successful candidates were honored in a traditional belt ceremony, where they received their new ranks – a symbol of their continued evolution in martial arts and personal growth.

Wing chun Kung-fu Martial Arts Academy,India & Samuel Kwok Martial Art Association,India are organized International Instructor level certificates giving ceremony held under guidance of Sifu Chaitanya Naik at Wing Chun school Dhaisar (East) Mumbai.

In this ceremony, all the certified practitioners are practicing under Sifu Sonu kumar Giri, Sifu Chaitanya Naik has also attended this ceremony and informed us that Samuel Kwok Martial art Association will take special response for Higher Instructor level training and put the name in instructor list on required place. 43 Players with 2 officials maximum 45 Persons in a Team.

Annual membership fees for District Kung Fu Associations, Rs. 2,000/- for the year 2014-15 must be paid Cash on arrival at
Multipurpose Hall of SAI.
No Team will be allowed to take part in the Championship without having championship I. card of Association of Maharashtra kung-fu, which is given after submission of entry fee.
